How to Fix Broken Glasses on Canon ImageCLASS Scanner

If you happen to accidentally broke your Canon ImageCLASS scanner and been fretting about it for a while, don’t worry, the glass can easily be replaced anytime. And that’s what we’re going to discuss in today’s tutorial, on how you can replace the broken glass of your Canon ImageCLASS scanner.

These steps are applicable to any Canon MFPs with scan functions.

First and foremost, always remember that the broken glass can cause damage to you and things around you so make sure to take extreme precaution when replacing it.

  1. Lift up the lid of your Canon ImageCLASS printer then examine the glass. Handle the glass with extreme care if broken.
  2. Locate the black and white hinges, then gently lift it out.
  3. Next, locate and remove the four 10mm screws.
  4. Gently, pry off the top plate, starting from the back of the printer.
  5. Once you have taken off the plate, make sure that there is no broken glass left. If there is broken glass handle it with gloves.
  6. Take out the damaged glass and fit the replacement glass to the printer according to the picture.

Adjusting Printer Setting with HP Color LaserJet CP4005 Printers

The HP Color LaserJet CP4005 series include two color digital laser printers, HP Color LaserJet CP4005n and the HP Color LaserJet CP4005dn uses replacement printer cartridges, HP CP4005 toner cartridges: HP CB400A, HP CB401A, HP CB402A and HP CB403A laser toners. These printers are designed to deliver high printing performance and excellent output for working environments. But similar to all digital laser printers, the HP Color LaserJet CP4005 series is not an exception in having usual problems and errors. And for today’s article, we’re going to give you the basic steps in adjusting the printer color setting to fix the quality of your HP Color LaserJet CP4005n and the HP Color LaserJet CP4005dn.

Adjusting the Color Setting of HP Color LaserJet CP4005 Series Printers

  • Choose the Print option from your software application.Sydney-Graphic-Design
  • Within the Print Dialog Window, click Properties or Preferences.
  • Click the Color tab.
    • Select the Color Themes drop-down list.
      • Default (sRGB): This theme sets the printer to print RGB data in raw device mode. When using this theme, manage color in the software program or in the operating system for correct rendering.
      • Vivid: The printer increases the color saturation in the midtones. Use this theme when printing business graphics.
      • Photo: The printer interprets RGB color as if it were printed as a photograph using a digital mini lab. The printer renders deeper, more saturated colors differently than with the Default (sRBG) theme. Use this theme when printing photos.
      • Photo (Adobe RGB 1998): Use this theme with printing digital photos that use the AdobeRGB color space rather than sRGB. Turn off color management in the software program when using this theme. (more…)
