Xerox as one of the pioneers in the printing industry had developed plentiful innovations over the years especially with their imaging technology. One of these innovations is Xerox Solid Ink Technology or Solid Ink Digital Imaging Technology, an award-winning color printing technology only available to selected Xerox printing devices. It was originally invented by Tetronix Lab for their Tetronix Phaser III launched in 1991, which could print about 1 page per minute in “brilliant, graphics quality-color” that became a sucess.
Nine years later, Xerox acquired the Color Printing and Imaging Division of Tetronix and was used in Xerox machines to produce stunning color print quality. Xerox printers and multifunction printers offer its users a lower running costs compare to printing devices which use the standard printer cartridges.
