That’s why for today’s article, we’re going to name some tips and troubleshooting procedures to improve the print quality of your HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 M712. Check the Toner Cartridge Status

  1. On the product control panel, press the Home button.
  2. Open the following menus: (1) Administration, (2) Reports, (3) Configuration/Status Pages
  3. Select the Supplies Status option.
  4. Highlight the Print option, and then press the OK button to print the report.
  5. Check the percent of life remaining for the toner cartridges and if applicable, the status of other replaceable maintenance parts.

Print quality problems usually happens when the toner cartridge is about to reach the end 9-26-Printer-Problems-300x186of its life. When your printouts turn light, it is advisable to buy a new toner and replace it. If the toner has just been replaced and this happens, take out the toner cartridge and gently shake it for a few times to redistribute the toner. Place it back inside the printer and try printing a draft again if the print quality didn’t approve then the toner cartridge must be defective. Ask for a replacement from your supplier.

Print a Cleaning Page

  1. On the product control panel, press the Home button.
  2. Open the following menus: (1) Device Maintenance, (2) Calibration/Cleaning and (3) Cleaning Page.
  3. Press the OK button to print the page.
  4. The cleaning process can take several minutes. When it is finished, discard the printed page.

Visually Inspect the Toner Cartridge

  1. Remove the toner cartridge from the printer, and verify that the sealing tape has been removed.
  2. Check the memory chip for damage.
  3. Examine the surface of the green imaging drum on the toner cartridge. If you see any scratches, fingerprints, or other damage on the imaging drum, replace the toner cartridge.
  4. If the imaging drum does not appear to be damaged, rock the toner cartridge gently several times and reinstall it. Print a few pages to see if the problem has resolved.
