As with many companies that have made a jump into the Alexa bandwagon, the voice UI era continues with Ricoh’s IM series of intelligent multifunction printers. The office equipment manufacturer has rolled out a way to make their printers operational via voice, specifically with Alexa. Tho this isn’t the first attempt of Ricoh’s voice controls. Back in 2017, the company partnered with IBM Watson to give voice commands to smart whiteboards.
Ricoh IM Series Intelligent Multifunction Printers
Alexa printers, as one may have to call this new series – the vocal commands are part of Ricoh’s IM Series of intelligent multifunction printers. With these feature, users can now initiate printing, scanning, faxing, and adjust some part of the settings such color and other aspects through voice command.
